Finally, I finished my vocal group competition. It worth's too deep to me. In LPMP Semarang. 2 great experience, 1 bad experience. Such a great story contains in it :)
It was at my second grade of Senior High School. I was a newbie that was just first on attending extra lessons on school choir. I was one that was chosen to join my school choir team. I started it all with a lazy heart and just think it waste my time for much. But just a second I started to be taught the song, it kills my heart so deeply.
It was my first three songs that I bought. 2 Nationalism songs(Bangun Pemudi-Pemuda, and also Merah Putih), and also a sweet charming local song named Lir-liir. Soon I was dragged into the world of choir by itself. Not too long, my school choir team manage to win the choir competition and break out until we finally gone through the province choir competition.
Such a pity we cant be the number on province competition. But at least we got the runner up position. Actually in achieving all those things it had many stories, but for its too long I'll just skip it right away.
With an achievement in 2010 about almost 800 thousand ruphias as prize on my choir and debate competition I just keep smiling though just as runner up, and upon the debate competition I totally lost.
Come in 2011, I paid back it all. I finally manage to be the first winner in debate the city debate competition, and also I manage to join the vocal group team. Different from choir, vocal group just contains 5 persons; Jeje(guitarist as second tenor), Jesty(main tenor), Grace(Soprano), Lidia(Alto), and Me(Albert) as the Bass. We usually call ourselves JEGAL(written J'jegal).
Along with my 4 friends, we(jegal) done everything well. Taught by my teacher, Kefas Satriya Permana and also Ayes Anindita. Those person was like common people in the daily life, but when they reach the stage of any concert it really entertains the crowd. There are such a legend for me :)
Bringing 3 songs too this time with 2 nationalism also(Tanah Airku, and Rumah Kita), and a enternaing local song(gethuk Javanese song) was composed by mas Kefas was really hypnoting everyone who listened it. We finally break through to the province and made the best hit.
It started out on 7 October 2011, we reached in LPMP(Lembaga Peningkatan Mutu Pendidikan) that is located in Semarang. We reached there and played scrabble by killing the time to wait us to get a room in LPMP. Soon after the game, we got a room and we(me, jeje, grace, lidia, jesty, kak ayes, kak kefas) got a room and moved there.
The event started with several intermezzo from the government and also the chairperson. Then It came when the competitors must take their turns randomly to perform their songs. From 35 participants, we got number 21(such a bad luck, hahaha). The first perform at 5 o'clock, and we soon performed at half past 10. We got our tones so weak that day, and what we can do was just praying so we can breakthrough the best 10 than will perform again tomorrow. With a unhealthy condition and after some evaluations, we ended the day on half past eleven. Such a pity for the last performer, they must perform on 1 o'clock at the morning.
Well, good news we manage to break through the best ten. At 9 o'clock, we was preparing our last performance. We prayed and begged to God so we can perform the best of us. In the bad situation, suddenly Lidia cried. It made us panic though she is losing her voice. We just can motivate her again and again
Just the time we ought to perform, we was ready. Lidia have already stopped her tears. Later, we was called to perform.

With a weird feeling, we took steps to the last stage. We was in the edge. The edge of everything we fight for. Then we reach the the stage and took our time. Just a minute before the perform I came to think what kak Kefas told us the night on evaluation.

Those words stunned me a lot. Then I start to smile and sing the first song. It all went well. The "Tanah Air" song was making the crowd gone silent. everyone watched us. It then ended in a twist.
It then continue to the next song, "Rumah Kita". It start out with accapella. But it was really extreme. Lidia had lost her voice so much. It was the hard times for us. While keep fighting the conditions, I didn't notice my tears just fell. When I start to realize it, I just keep on thinking "no matter what happens to me now, I'll end this song with all those stories written inside of us". It really touched me so deep.
The last song was "Gethuk". It was very entertaining and also embarrassing(especially for me. hahaha), because there was a part of the song when I should sing a funny part and do it as I really enjoy the music. Not as usual in the practice, I really enjoy it. I keep on singing with all of my efforts, enjoying each seconds in the song. It finally ended so fast. I closed my eyes and think a while "thanks god, now I've returned the talent you gave to me in this last song". With a satisfy face, we left the stage while the crowd went noisy with the great applause upon our perform.
Finally on the last event, it was the announcement of the winner. The third winner came from Kebumen, the second was us(Salatiga), and the last comes from Semarang. Actually I think Semarang doesn't deserve to win. Not because I'm jealous, but I just think that there happens to be the better team rather than them. Well, knowing the decision has be made, nothing can change the result.
The battle was over, and I'm satisfied now. I'm finished with LPMP. I done 2 bad experience on 2010, and and good experience on 2011(just 2 days after I made this). Even though we lost, the point of the bad or good experience doesn't count on wining or losing the competition, but how satisfy we are upon our own performance. It was my last song, and I enjoyed it with a smile and some happy tears. I finished with Senior High School competitions and I done a great legend, hope you made one great story too :)
